Walking through the wilderness
Experience the thrill of observing Africa’s magnificent wildlife on foot while exploring its breathtaking landscapes on a walking safari.

Join us on a custom walking safari with our knowledgeable guides as we take you on an intimate journey across the African savannahs and along riverbanks. We guarantee a customized experience that you can enjoy at your own pace with a maximum of six participants.

Our walking safaris in Africa provide a special chance to see and discover how animals behave in their natural environments. The focus is on observing and comprehending the ecosystem as a whole, often concentrating on the smallest contributors that are typically missed from the height of a vehicle, even though large game may be seen from a distance. You'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with smaller animals, birds, and even interesting insects while traveling with your informed guide.

Your senses will be on high alert as you travel through the stunning scenery, listening for the snap of a twig, analyzing the scent in the air, and looking around for any signals of movement. As you navigate the varied terrain of the savannah, the imposing granite boulders in the distance serve as striking visual landmarks.

Walking safari

Take a guided nature walk through the bush, following new trails and subtle signs.

Listen to the sights and sounds of local and migratory birds as your guide points out the fragrant scents of shrubs and wild herbs and identifies them, frequently just by their call. To determine what and when something was here before you, look for tracks in the sand. Keep an ear out for the distant cries of wildlife and the splashing sounds of meandering rivers full of hippos and crocodiles.

Where to stay on a Walking Safari

An amazing and thrilling experience requires a walking safari. The time of year is also important to take into account when making plans because there are situations when walking is impossible due to excessively dense and lush vegetation. In most places, walking is best at the end of the dry season.

Our experts can offer you distinctive and fascinating viewpoints as well as guidance on the best walking safari options. Since each of our third-party camps is located in a different area, some people may find the terrain physically difficult to navigate on foot. For an engaging and pleasurable journey, a basic level of fitness is advised in addition to closed, comfortable shoes.
