The Rift Valley
Enjoy an authentic cultural experience by visiting Maasai bomas (homesteads), learning about Maasai customs, and participating in warrior training rites in Monduli Juu, which is home to traditional Maasai communities. The district of Monduli Juu is roughly 50 kilometers (31 miles) northwest of Arusha and 45 minutes to the Maasai village.The Maasai people are the main inhabitants of this region, which is distinguished by its hilly topography. Our visits are limited to the Rift Valley, and it consists of four major villages. Every tour can be completely customized. Come immerse yourself in this traditional culture, whether you opt for a hotel in the Arusha area, a homestay (fit for a tight budget), or camping for a day or up to three nights.

Maasai Red Market
Visit the local Maasai red market on Saturdays. The Maasai gather every Saturday afternoon to sell livestock and purchase supplies for the next week. In the hours before the market begins, scores of young Maasai men walk down the mountain roads to the village, with their goats and sheep to be slaughtered or sold.

Monduli Rainforest
Unwind in Nature's Embrace
Learn about particular trees like the Whistling Thorn Acacia, the Maasai Perfume Tree, and the Fig Tree, as well as the various animal and bird species that call the Monduli evergreen rainforest home.

Mount Taresero
Take in breathtaking views of the neighboring mountains like Mount Meru, Longido, Ol Donyo Lengai, and the surrounding plains as you trek all day to the summit of the Mt. Taresero, which is approximately 2230 meters (7316 feets) above sea level.


Ol Doinyo Lengai
Rising more than 2,000 meters above sea level, Ol Doinyo Lengai, also known as "The Mountain of God" in Maasai, is an active volcano in northern Tanzania. This volcano produces the world's sole natrocarbonatite lava and the coldest lava, which has a temperature of about 550°C. Situated in the Great Rift Valley, the top offers a stunning panoramic view of Lake Natron, which is extremely saline and alkaline, as well as the volcanic formations of the Ngorongoro region. Millions of birds call this seemingly hostile, extremely small lake home.
