Monduli Juu is situated on a road that leads to the Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park, about 50 km northwest of Arusha, Tanzania, making it a natural stop on a northern Tanzanian safari or cultural tour. This scenic, highland area is known for its authentic Maasai culture, traditional villages, and opportunities to learn about Maasai traditions and livelihoods.​

HALF DAY 1
Arusha to Rift Valley
Arusha breakfast is followed by a 2-hour scenic drive to Monduli Juu and a trek through the Rift Valley. The landscape features grey, brown, and yellow tones, with Maasai bomas sparsely located within it. Each boma contains huts for the wives of the village chief. This site offers a stunning view of the Rift Valley, Kitumbeine, Longido, and Mount Kilimanjaro. You can also experience the Saturday red market. A hot picnic lunch is served at the Lalashe Campsite before returning to Arusha.

HALF DAY 2
Emairete Crater
Arusha breakfast is followed by a 2-hour scenic drive to Monduli Juu and Discover a gigantic Mairete caldera, not as large as Ngorongoro but not less impressive. A place where the herdsmen have been grazing their cattle for centuries on the plains. The surrounding area is marked by numerous Bomas. You can also experience the Saturday red market.
A hot picnic lunch is served at the Emairete campsite before returning to Arusha.

HAlf DAY/FULL DAY
Monduli Evergreen Mountain
Arusha breakfast is followed by a 2-hour scenic drive to Monduli Juu and Explore the Monduli Juu rainforest and hike to Kilele (peak). On the way you’ll get acquainted to specific tree (e.g. fig tree, acacia tree etc.) and animal species (e.g. bushbuck, weavers even elephants). You can also experience the Saturday red market. A hot picnic lunch is served at the Lalashe homestay before returning to Arusha.
