Morani Poyoni's Cultural Tourism Program (CTP) in 1994 marked the beginning of our legacy. motivated by a desire to have a significant effect and a dedication to the area. A new generation of adventurers and conservationists are inspired by Dimbwiii's unwavering spirit and dedication to conservation. FOUNDER
Bobu Morani
Dimbwiii Safaris was established by Bobu Morani, also known as bobupicha. Bobu is a seasoned Field Guide with six years of guiding experience. He grew up in the northeastern region of Arusha Maasai land, an environment that fostered his enthusiasm for nature and conservation. Bobu's lifelong engagement with Tanzania's natural world has endowed him with extensive knowledge of the region's flora and fauna, as well as its cultural traditions. His amiable personality, gentle nature, and keen intellect make him one of the premier guides in Tanzania, embodying the essence of the Dimbwiii brand slogan, "life on the pond." The term "Dimbwi," meaning "pool," "puddle," or "mere" in Swahili, highlights the importance of ponds for wildlife, especially during the dry season when other water sources are scarce. These permanent ponds serve as crucial refugia and lifelines for various species in arid environments, providing a vital habitat full of life, often stagnant or formed by rainfall.

Mukami Njoroge
Mukami Njoroge, known as Kamipicha, is a native Kenyan with a deep-seated passion for the natural environment, particularly the flora and fauna of Northern Tanzania and Kenya's parks. Her experiences have fostered an aspiration to further enhance her understanding and relationship with the beauties of the Rift Valley.

In 1994, Morani Poyoni established a company initially known as the Monduli Juu cultural tourism program (MCTP), aimed at connecting guests with authentic cultural experiences in Monduli Juu. The name 'Morani' translates to 'warrior'. The company's vision focuses on creating unique and inspiring experiences that include low-impact activities such as hiking, trekking, and bird watching.

Maria
Maria's profound connection to the outdoors and her adventurous spirit originated from an extraordinary experience in Africa, where she observed a magnificent leopard in a tree under the warm light of sunset. This encounter deepened her appreciation for Africa’s rich wilderness and its diverse ecosystems as well as the local population. To further her passion, Maria co-founded Leo Safari, a company focused on providing photo safaris in Tanzania. Partnering with Dimbwiii Safaris, Leo Safari creates distinctive experiences that not only showcase Africa’s wildlife but also foster an immersive engagement with local cultures.
