One of our favorite activities we recommend is a visit to Chemka Hot Springs. Located just an hour from Kilimanjaro Airport, these springs are a magical oasis of warm, crystal-clear waters surrounded by lush greenery.

About 15 minutes past the airport, this journey takes you down a rough road for about 45 minutes, offering glimpses into local Tanzanian village life and passing several iconic baobab trees along the way. When palm trees suddenly come into view, you'll know you've arrived at Chemka. Once inside the gate, you'll find a tropical paradise of small interconnected pools where you can swim, snorkel, try the rope swing, or simply relax under the shade. You can choose to enjoy local food options at Chemka or a picnic lunch prepared in advance by your hotel or Dimbwiii Safaris.
