Where to go on a Hot-Air Balloon Safari

Where to go on a Hot-Air Balloon Safari

Hot-air balloon excursions that depart early to witness the breathtaking sunrises are available in some of our national parks. It can be cold in the air and in the early hours of the day, therefore we always suggest you to pack layers of clothing. A delectable and substantial champagne breakfast on the open plains marks the culmination of this beautifully romantic adventure.

If the weather is excessively windy or rainy, the excursions may be canceled. To help you design the ideal schedule that includes this amazing experience, please speak with one of our helpful and kind safari planners. These sky excursions are run by third companies.

Serengeti Balloon Safari

One of the most well-known national parks in the world is the Serengeti. Its name translates to "endless plains," and from above, you can fully grasp how wide and abundant space is. You might even witness the breathtaking Great Migration, with its enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra scattered across the plains, if you schedule your Serengeti balloon tour perfectly.

Keep a watch out for plenty of plains animals, hippos in their pools, and, if you're lucky, predators on their morning hunt as you float over beautiful scenery.

The best time of year for a Serengeti balloon safari is during the drier months of the year; between June and November, and between mid-December to mid-March.

Ruaha Balloon Safari

A balloon safari in Ruaha National Park, which only operates from June to October during the dry season, provides breathtaking views of the Ruaha River and the area filled with enormous baobab trees. The lofty position makes it easier to appreciate the sheer size of this exceptional location, which is larger than the Serengeti National Park. Both low-altitude flying just meters above the grunting hippo and soaring to vast heights to appreciate the view over this area are made possible by the season's soft and consistent breezes.

Tarangire Balloon Safari

Tarangire National Park is an excellent location for a hot air balloon safari because of its diversity. A moderate, almost leisurely balloon safari is provided by the gentle breezes, giving you time to enjoy the scenery and fauna below. The rich green of the Silale Swamp and the red dirt of the Tarangire River cut through the grassy plains, baobab trees, and rocky outcroppings. As they emerge from the marshy waters, keep an eye out for magnificent herds of buffalo and elephants, their spotless black and grey hides gleaming in the sunlight.
