Authentic Experience

Rift Valley View
From there you will walk through a typical tree savannah to the foot of the escarpment, then trek down to the Maasai village through the “Kona Saba” (Seven Corners) escarpment view. From the "Kona saba" escarpment you will have a wonderful, panoramic view of the Rift Valley, Kitumbeine Mountain, Longido, and Mount Kilimanjaro, and on the way you might encounter animals such as zebras, gazelles, giraffes, impalas, ostriches, etc. in their natural habitat.
Maasai Red Market
Visit the local Maasai red market on Saturdays. The Maasai gather every Saturday afternoon to sell livestock and purchase supplies for the next week. In the hours before the market begins, scores of young Maasai men walk down the mountain roads to the village with their goats and sheep to be slaughtered or sold.

The Warriors' Contest
To prove their strength and maturity, they jump in the air, a part of a traditional dance. The higher the jump, the stronger the warrior, and, as a consequence, the more respect and admiration he gets from the ladies!
Meet The Midwife
Meet prominent village figures such as the midwife & the herbal doctor. Masai societies all over Eastern Africa are famous for their use of traditional medicine to cure infections and diseases of different kinds, such as malaria, eye infections, sore throats, urinary tract infections, kidney problems, backaches, and headaches. They cure these ailments by using specific plants, using their roots, leaves, or bark.

Village Bicycle Tour
Experience the Maasai villages on two wheels. Cycling provides a novel, active, and adventurous way to experience authentic African villages.
Taste The Maasai Barbecue
Taste the traditional "Nyama Choma" (goat cooked over an open fire) with Maasai warriors in the "Orpul" (Maasai meat camp). Maasai still enjoy traditional Maasai dishes such as ugali (a sticky, mashed potato-like dish made from maize flour), with milk and meat as the main components of every dish. Enjoy the Maasai Barbecue with us: it will be the culinary highlight of your stay at Lalashe campsite!

Warrior Skills
Experience throwing spears like a Maasai warrior! The spear is the most precious possession of a Morani: it is used for stabbing, defending cattle and the community against predators, and is thrown in cases of emergency. The spear is about 6-7 feet long; it has a strong, steel blade connected to a wooden stick. This is the constant sidearm of Maasai men.
Goat Slaughtering
When staying at the Lalashe campsite, you can watch the Maasai slaughter a goat for the barbecue. This is a very unique experience.

Fire Practice
Experience the traditional Maasai way of starting a fire at Lalashe campsite.
Maasai Honeymoon
Whether you would like to stay for just one night or a little longer, we can promise you one thing: you will never forget this experience! A typical Maasai house is made out of cow dung, mud, and clay and takes about two months to construct. The house consists of different rooms: one for the parents, the children, guests, and, of course, our calves and goats. The fireplace takes pride of place in the middle of the house.

Quad Bike Experience
Our guided quad bike safaris provide participants the opportunity to explore and experience the Maasai way of life while experiencing the excitement of self-driving over a variety of terrains. Rift Valley, Taresero Mountain, Emairete Crater, and Magadi Lake Viewing Point are well-liked locations.
Taresero Mountain Experience
Take in breathtaking views of the neighboring mountains like Mount Meru, Longido, Ol Donyo Lengai, and the surrounding plains as you trek all day to the summit of Mt. Taresero, which is approximately 2230 meters (7316 feet) above sea level.

Monduli Juu Mountain Experience
Learn about particular trees like the Whistling Thorn Acacia, the Maasai Perfume Tree, and the Fig Tree, as well as the various animal and bird species that call the Monduli evergreen rainforest home.
Oldonyo legai Mountain
Rising more than 2,000 meters above sea level, Ol Doinyo Lengai, also known as "The Mountain of God" in Maasai, is an active volcano in northern Tanzania. This volcano produces the world's sole natrocarbonatite lava and the coldest lava, which has a temperature of about 550°C. Situated in the Great Rift Valley, the top offers a stunning panoramic view of Lake Natron, which is extremely saline and alkaline, as well as the volcanic formations of the Ngorongoro region. Millions of birds call this seemingly hostile, extremely small lake home.

Emairete
Walk across a massive Mairete caldera that is equally magnificent as Ngorongoro despite being smaller. A location on the plains where ranchers have been grazing their cattle for decades. There are many Bomas that mark the surroundings. We pay a visit to a midwife and herbalist in one of the huts. You'll discover what a Maasai village is like on a daily basis at Emairete Crater.
